After experimenting with the subtraction cutting technique with the trousers in the toiling stage we decided that we would definatly use this technique as the volume and distortion of the fabric works well with charlottes design ideas and concept. Paris has designed some of her garments using magnets as a fastening. We thought that this would be an interesting feature and fits with Paris' concept. We have designed a pair of subtraction cut trousers that have a flap at the front. this flap is then fastened together by a row of ball-bearing magnets that attract to each other like a magnetic zip.
As the majority of my designs have a a paneled cup bra in them we have decided to make a bralet top to go with the trousers. The colours that we are going to use are a muted nude pink tone for the bralet and a grey fabric for the trousers which are colours that we have all designed with.
