We experimented using different hole placements either all on the front, all on the back or some on the front an back, we quite liked the placement on the front a the back as it distorted the fabric nicely. This distortion of farbic also represents the distortion of communication in all of our concepts. They also help to create the volume in Paris and Charlottes designs.
My group consists of myself Paris Hawkins-Carr and Charlotte Haldane. For our collaboration we all have concepts that centre around a disconnection or distortion of communication and a sense of silence. My designs focus on a restriction and distortion of the fabrics and the fragmentation of the body using a body-con style of paneling and knife pleating. The body-con look represents the restriction and the isolation of a feral children. Paris and Charlottes designs also focus in one way or another of paneling however they have more volume to them therefore we had to come up with a collaboration design that incorporated all of our main themes. Luckily our colour pallete was similar in all three of our designs with muted hues of pinks, skin tones and greys being the dominant colours. We started off our collaboration by experimenting with subtraction cutting a pair of trousers.
